After losing the upmarket house in Sandton for R5.9 million, the 140-hectare farm situated in Limpopo belonging to former ANC Youth League president Julius Malema popularly known as JUJU, will be falling under the auction hammer in June.

The cabbage and tomato farm is apparently due to be auctioned off on June 10 as part of the selling off of Malema's assets to offset his unpaid tax bill, City Press reported on Sunday.

On March 19 the farm, worth around R4-million, was seized by the Asset Forfeiture Unit.

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Medupe Simasiku said at the time that the property was allegedly acquired with the proceeds of fraud, corruption, theft, and money laundering.

Park Village Auctions advertises that the farmhouse has four bedrooms, a lounge-cum-dining room, an enclosed patio, kitchen with scullery and a study nook.

A thatched rondawel is on the property, as is a swimming pool and garage workshop, among other features. There is also a partially completed second house on the property.

Malema still owes slightly more than R9-million to the tax man, from his original R16-million bill.

On Thursday, Malema's half-built mansion in Sandown, Johannesburg, which was attached by the court to help cover his R16m tax bill, fetched R5.9-million on auction, arranged by a curator for the SA Revenue Service.

The unfinished house features a cinema room and a cigar lounge. The plans for the property included four bedrooms and bathrooms, a security bunker, a showroom garage and pyjama lounge.

The winning bidder was local businessman Norman Tloubatla.

Mr Malema was expelled from the ANC in 2012 for insubordination. He also faces charges of corruption, which he denies.

Political History
Once an ally of Jacob Zuma, the outspoken Mr Malema later fell out with the South African president.

He campaigned for Mr Zuma's removal from office at the ANC's national conference in December.

Mr Malema has accused Jacob Zuma of not doing enough to help the poor black voters who had helped to elect him.

In 2011, South Africa's high court ruled that the anti-apartheid song Shoot the Boer was hate speech and banned the ANC from singing it.

However, Mr Malema and other ANC leaders had objected, arguing that the song was a celebration of the fight against minority rule.

The corruption charge against him relates to a government tender awarded to a company partly owned by his family trust.

He rejects the charge, saying that the case is politically motivated.
